Earring Lowdown: The Slave Earring

fashion in my soul ☮

Earlier on this week when I was browising through the many amazing images of 'we heart it.com' I came across something so original and unique that I couldn't help but post it!!!
You will notice a trend toward a more sophisticated and cultured look in 'Slave Earrings', yes you're not mistaken!
However, as my research entailed that although their punk origin is evident in the continued use of studded stones and chains, if you take care to wear them properly, they can be worn in a more fashion forward and feminine way. To achieve a feminine look, select dainty chains, smaller designs, and classic stones:

When putting on slave earrings, the plainer earring should go in first. Avoid letting new tangles develop as you attach the stud of the slave earrings in your ear lobe. Take the second stud or cuff, and move it up in the direction of the top of your ear cartilage, carefully. Pin the stud, or attach the cuff. You may need to pinch the cuff gingerly, or tighten the earring stud, in order to ensure that it is securely fashioned.
You should choose the earring to be the basis for your outfit to create an edgy but feminine appearance. In order to not over crowd the slave earring grouping, do not add any jewelry above the bangles or rings which you might add to increase your jewelry .
Perhaps the best thing about the new trend is that it is easily worn with your casual jean and t-shirt combo or a more feminine dress and will create a good look either way....versatile (check!)

Sow why not add a twist to your usual style and invest in some slave earrings as an alternative to the regular studs!?

Are you a fan of the Trend?
