The Top 15 All Time Best Friday Night Chick Flicks!

As a natural girly girl, all day I sat in class twirling my pink feather adorned pen wondering how I could possibly make the day worth the 7 am start. My answer: a chick flick evening....starting with the all time classic and Jane Austin's Emma inspired...Clueless!!!! My reason: I am a total sucker for chick flicks!

You may ask why but these movies have colour, fashion, english literature, feelings, relatable teen issues and boy crushes; which is basically everything I am in a nutshell!
So therefore, as a pure tribuet to all the girly girl films out there, I thought of dedicating a post to my 'Favourite Top 15'...since it is 'Friday Favourite's Day!'

There are a few listed here that may not have a woman as the main attraction but are still personally being recognised here for the Trendy Clothing, Shoes, and everything else that we girls loath!

This Page isn't about reading good books or intense thinking. It's all about being visual and enjoying the beauty of life which is also stimulating for the mind. Here, are the movies that every girl whom considers herself a "Chick" must have in her Girly Movie Collection . Enjoy these!

1. Sex and The City

I must start (of course!), with Sex and the City. This is an all time favourite for Ladies all across the globe! Lets face it, we all love Sex and the City. Not only does Sex and the City give us the drama that we all lust after we also get to see the Fashion which is "to die for" by the way. The women in Sex and the City are all Mid aged women who are as fashionable as fashion can get...and we love to listen to their drama and love affairs!! Let's face it...we all wanted to through a brick at the screen when Mr Big didn't turn up at his wedding and left Carrie standing at the alter.....:O shameful!

2. Legally Bonde

I don't think that any of us thought that beauty and brains could be mixed?!! Legally Blonde proves them all wrong! This Beauty with a High Sense of Fashion proves to them all that a book should never be judged by its cover. This movie is funny, fashionable, and a must have for your Girly Collection....and it's even better in theatre!!

3. The Devil Wears Prada

This Movie may be the most fashionable of them all! The Devil Wears Prada reeks Fashion from Start to Finish. It's all about Runway & Fashion Trends, & Style, as well as the vicious vagaries of everything in between! Probably one of my all time favourite films!!!

4. How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days

If you think that McConaughey's looks are the only advantage to this film, you are completely mistaken. Of course they help ;), but the glamour, glitz and pure and utter laughter and comical timing are the real nitty gritty pros that the film possesses!

5. Clueless
How can I go through this list and leave out CluelessClueless is the Girly Girl's all time favourite. This movie is a classic. Clueless is similar to Legally Blonde in ways accept for the Main Character in Clueless is indeed actually Clueless but in the fashion sense she is absolutely clever. Watch clueless and enjoy laughs & Fashion all at the same time!

6. Bride Wars

Best friends become enemies so fast in this Comedy about two friends who run into a Rut with their wedding plans! This movie will have you laughing, crying, and admiring the fashion! This is one of the best chick flicks ever!

7. Girl's just Wanna Have Fun

The clue is in the title, if you're a girl and you wanna have fun....then watch this chick flick! packed with girly girl laughs and romances...it's one not to miss!

8. Titanic

This spectacular epic re-creates the ill-fated maiden voyage of the R.M.S Titanic and the tragic sea disaster of April 15, 1912. Running over three hours and made with the combined contributions of two major studios (20th Century-Fox, Paramount) at a cost of more than $200 million, Titanic ranked as the most expensive film in Hollywood history at the time of its release, and became the most successful...and if anyone has seen Leo...there's no wonder why ;)

9. 27 Dresses

Life just wouldn't be the same without 27 Dresses in my Collection. It's about a woman who is the most faithful bridesmaid but hasn't yet found love for herself. This story has a very interesting twist and a romantic touching end. After all, the fashion is fabulous!

10. The Notebook

Directed by Nick Cassavetes, this adaptation of author Nicholas Sparks' bestselling novel revolves around regular visits to a female patron of an area nursing home. Rather than bore her with the inanities of everyday life, Calhoun reads from an old, faded notebook containing the sweeping account of a young couple (Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams) whose love affair was tragically put to a halt after their separation in the midst of World War II. Seven years later, the couple was reunited, and, despite having taken radically different paths, they found themselves unable to resist the call of a second chance. It is the most beautiful, heartfelt rom-com out there....had me crying the whole two hours!!!

11. Bridget Jone's Diary

This romantic comedy follows Bridget (Renee Zellweger), a post-feminist, thirty-something British woman who has a penchant for alcoholic binges, smoking, and an inability to control her weight. While trying to keep these things in check and also deal with her job in publishing, she visits her parents for a Christmas party. They try to set her up with Mark (Colin Firth), the visiting son of one of their
neighbours. Love it!

12. Love Actually

Get ready for fun! with the feel good movie of the year! Love Actually is the ultimate romantic comedy from the makers of Bridget Jones's Diary and Notting Hill. Funny, irresistible and heartwarming, an all-star cast (Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth and Emma Thompson, to name a few!) will take you on a breathtaking tour of love's delightful twists and turns. Fall under the spell of Love Actually and share the laughs and charm again and again.

13. Confessions of a Shopaholic

Calling all those who can't resist that pair of shoes! This is a story of a true fashionably fierce shopaholic who learns in the end to overcome her addiction. This movie is full of drama, comedy, romance, and fashion savvy!

14. Mean Girls

A movie pick that adults & kids can enjoy. This high school drama will keep you at the edge of your feet. With fashion any teenager would drool over Mean Girls is a girly movie that you must add to your collection!

15. Cayote Ugly

Moving to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a famous songwriter, Violet Sanford finds herself desperate and broke. Through the twist of fate, the shy, innocent Violet lands a job as one of the barmaids at the hottest nightclub in town - the down and dirty, wild and fun COYOTE UGLY. Pouring drinks and overflowing with attitude, the "Coyotes" spend more time on top of the bar than behind it, tantalizing the standing-room-only crowd with their outrageous antics! It's one wild adventure for a small-town girl chasing her dream in the big city. And Mr McDonald isn't half bad either ;)

What is your favourite chick flick?!
